Our Surgical Protocol to Ensure Safety
Your pet’s safety is, above all, our highest priority. To reduce anesthesia risks as much as possible, we take the following precautions:
- Pre-op blood work (as needed) to evaluate the health of your pet/large animal and determine whether anesthesia will pose too high of a risk
- Sterile surgical preparation/techniques
- Heart rate and respiratory rate monitoring throughout the procedure
- Intubation with isoflurane (anesthesia) maintenance
- The administration of IV fluids if needed
- Supervised recovery to ensure that the patient wakes up safely from the anesthesia
