This Is What Love Looks Like: Ichigo’s Journey to Comfort

Love shows up in the little things we do every day to make life better for the ones who depend on us. For sweet Ichigo and his devoted mom, that love looks like showing up month after month to help him feel his very best.

Since June 2024, Ms. Smith has faithfully brought Ichigo to Southcentral Veterinary Services for his monthly Solensia injections, a treatment used to help manage osteoarthritis pain in cats. Her commitment to keeping these appointments is a beautiful reminder that caring for our pets goes far beyond the big moments. Sometimes, it’s the consistent, everyday choices that make the biggest difference.

Osteoarthritis can make everyday activities—jumping, climbing, stretching, and even simply getting comfortable—more difficult for our feline friends. Cats are also incredibly good at hiding signs of pain, which makes recognizing changes in their mobility and maintaining a proactive approach to their comfort so important.

By staying consistent with Ichigo’s treatment plan, Ms. Smith is helping support his comfort and mobility so he can continue enjoying the things that make life special. And while Ichigo may not understand the calendar reminders or the importance of his monthly visits, we have a feeling he knows one thing for certain: he is deeply loved.
