Frank

Frank is a 7-year-old American Shorthaired cat who came to see us after his family noticed a decrease in his appetite and suspected he might be dealing with some tooth pain. Changes in eating habits are often one of the first signs that something isn’t quite right.

A thorough oral exam was performed to assess the extent of Frank’s overall dental health. His dental disease was determined to be Grade 3. During the exam, his teeth were evaluated for tooth root exposure, gingivitis, and tartar buildup.

During the procedure, three molars were extracted due to root resorption and gingival loss. After the extractions, a dental cleaning and polishing were performed on the remaining teeth.

Frank is now on the road to recovery and feeling much more comfortable. We’re so glad his family brought him in when they noticed something wasn’t right. Dental disease can progress quietly in pets, and early attention can make a big difference in their comfort and health.

Way to go, Frank!
